A: There are a few different stages in the installation process, but our Operations team will keep you informed on each step along the way. A: Revolusun always recommends consulting a tax professional about how to maximize the benefits from federal and state tax incentives that are available upon purchasing a photovoltaic system. 3) Q: How will I know if my system is producing what it is supposed to? A: It will depend on which monitoring solution you are using. Sunpower, Enphase, and SunRun monitoring are all available online at their respective websites. If you don't have your login information, please contact customercare@revolusun.com. 4) Q: Will my solar array continue to produce power if the electricity goes out? A: The solar array will NOT continue to produce power if the electricity goes out. In order to protect the utility company's workers that may be servicing the power lines in the event of an outage, the system will automatically shut off, only to power back up when service is restored. 5) Q: How do clouds and rain impact production from my solar array? A: Surprisingly, your system can still produce a lot of electricity during cloudy or rainy days. The key factor is that UV rays still penetrate the clouds and rain and continue to produce electricity for your home. Although there is some production loss, it will not affect the long-term production estimates for your system. 6) Q: Why do I still get a bill from the utility company if my system is offsetting all of my usage? A: The utility generally applies a minimum charge for their service of between $15 and $20, depending on a few different variables. On the months when you use more electricity than normal, your utility will provide you will any extra kilowatt hours you need, and usually the extra credits you had in the bank (Net Energy Metering) will offset this extra usage. 7) Q: What should I do if I think my system isn't performing optimally? A: Give us a call on the Customer Care Direct Line, 675-2342, or send an email to customercare@revolusun.com. Usually, it is something very simple like too much dust on the panels, or a little shade from a tree that has grown since installation.
