Software Tester

RevoluSun has created a novel Rich Internet Application that has greatly accelerated the adoption of residential solar electric systems. The software team will be supporting dozens to hundreds of RevoluSun offices throughout Hawaii and the mainland.

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify and execute software test plans and develop and use testing tools and methodologies to achieve the test objectives.
• Work closely with engineering team on a daily basis to monitor bug database, verifying completed tasks on both the development and live servers.
• Manage Jira bug database: Log bugs and issues for developers to fix; maintain and update bug lists.
• Act as liaison between internal customers and engineering teams, recreating issues with tools or the web site and reporting these to the engineering team, providing (internal) technical support when needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years in a QA role for an online development company.
• Great communications, problem solving and technical support/troubleshooting skills.
• Able to write simple SQL queries and to insert update statements and basic grasp of MySQL or another relational database.
• Be an energetic self-starter, able to work independently.
• Have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Be passionate about developing high quality products.
• Be familiar with testing a variety of different online mediums including dynamic web pages and rich internet applications.
• Be familiar with testing on Windows, Vista and Mac OS environments with all mainstream web browsers (FF, Safari, Chrome, IE).
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills including the use of document and spreadsheet tools.
