Solar Hot Water Installer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Hot Water Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar thermal systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, and renewable energy technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• System Installation: Install solar thermal collectors, storage tanks, pumps, and associated plumbing and electrical components in residential and commercial settings.

• System Integration: Connect solar thermal systems to existing plumbing and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and manufacturer specifications.

• Commissioning: Test and verify system functionality, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.

• Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to extend system lifespan and efficiency.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and compliance with local building codes and regulations.

• Customer Interaction: Educate clients on system operation, maintenance, and energy-saving benefits.

• Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including work orders, inspection reports, and warranty documentation.

   

Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in plumbing, electrical systems, or renewable energy preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in solar thermal system installation or related field.

• Skills: Proficiency in plumbing and electrical work; ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights.

• Driver’s License: Valid Hawaii driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Compensation: $28/hr
